Made for the way our families actually use the clinic

For more than five decades, Lang Family Medicine has cared for whole households. Next Gen Member is one plan that fits all of them.

  • Long-time patients

Keep your established patient status and your place with our providers, even when we are closed to new patients.

  • Families and households

We care for many sizable families. Each additional member pays the rate for their place in the household, so larger households stay on one plan.

  • Patients with ongoing care

Allergy patients, regular IVs or pushes, routine injections and ongoing prescriptions, all under one membership.

  • Anyone who wants to be heard

Care tailored to your values, preferences and health goals, with natural approaches whenever possible.

Everything included, in one plan

Every benefit below comes from our membership program. Next Gen Member brings them together so you never have to wonder which tier you need.

Everyone is welcome

Not ready for membership? You can still be seen.

Membership is one option, not a requirement. You can still be a patient at LFM as a non-member, but non-members pay higher prices for office visits, nurse visits, Fullscript and other procedures. Give our team a call and we will walk you through what fits you best.

Questions, answered

I am currently a member and my anniversary date is a few months away. Will my office visit price go up in November or do I wait until I join the Next Gen membership to pay the increased office visit prices?

Effective Nov. 1, 2026, all office visit prices will increase.

I have a current membership. What happens when my anniversary date comes up?

Your current/original membership will expire on your anniversary date. If you want to remain a member, you will need to go to our website and rejoin under the Next Gen Membership section.

If I choose to not renew my membership, will I still be able to be a patient at LFM?

Yes. But Next Gen members get significant discounted prices on Office Visits, Nurse Visits, Fullscript and other various procedures. As a non-member, you would pay a higher price for these services.

When my current membership ends, when will I rejoin the Next Gen Membership?

You should re-join immediately. If you don’t switch over and join immediately, you would have to pay the higher prices on the services received until you do join.

I have several family members in my household that are also members and receiving discounts. Will we still receive additional household member discounts in the Next Gen Membership?

Yes. Each person still pays a membership fee. Members 1 and 2 pay the full per-person rate. Members 3 to 5, 6 to 12, and 13 and beyond each have their own per-person rate for annual, quarterly and monthly billing. Coupons apply after those rates.

Why are you taking the different tier memberships away?

We wanted to simplify the membership across the board. We wanted to allow patients who choose not to become a member a chance to still be a patient at LFM. But a non-member will pay higher prices on office visits and other various services.

How will I know if a membership is best for me and/or my family?

If you are a patient who needs to be seen more than one or two times in a year, being a member will ensure that you receive all discounts that our membership offers. If you simply do not need to be seen often or don’t have continuing medical care throughout the year, you may choose to not become a member. But you will be paying a higher price for office visits, nurse visits, Fullscript and other various procedures.

As a current Silver member, would I be able to upgrade to the Next Gen membership before my anniversary date?

Yes. At the current Silver membership price of $450, you could simply pay the difference of $75 (Next Gen member price is $525 annually) and become a Next Gen member for the duration of the original membership. Once your anniversary date approaches, you would simply go online and re-join the Next Gen membership.

I’ve paid my annual membership fee, do I still have to pay for office visits as a Next Gen member?

The membership fee does not cover any office visits or treatment. Those charges are separate.

Can I still join Original Member (Gold, Silver or Bronze)?

No. Original Member plans (Gold, Silver and Bronze) are closed to new members. Everyone joining today becomes a Next Gen Member.

What happens if I cancel my Original Member plan?

You can cancel any time, and we honor the term you have paid for. If you would like to become a member again later, you would join as a Next Gen Member, since Original Member plans are closed to new sign-ups.

How much is Next Gen Member?

Next Gen Member is $525 per person per year for members 1 to 2. Members 3 to 5, 6 to 12, and 13 and beyond each have their own per-person rate. You can pay annually, quarterly or monthly. The membership fee does not cover office visits or treatment.

Is the membership fee covered by insurance?

Membership fees are not covered by insurance. However, specific services we provide may qualify for reimbursement, such as doctor visits, nurse visits, supplements, injections, IV therapy and allergy therapy, depending on your plan. Call us and we will help you understand what may offset membership costs.

Can I use my HSA, HRA or LPFSA?

The answer works the same way as private insurance. These accounts can be used for medical goods and services. Please call us to ask what is available in your situation.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. We continue to honor the term you have paid for, so refunds are not given. We also provide emergency care for 30 days after a cancellation.

Do I need a membership to be seen?

No. You can still be a patient at LFM as a non-member, but you would pay a higher price for office visits, nurse visits, Fullscript and other procedures. Call 817-577-0480 or see non-member visits.

What if I don't join?

You are under no obligation. Your chart stays with us as an established patient (not a member) for 36 months after your last visit, and you can join any time in that window. After that you would be a new patient, and we cannot guarantee we will be taking new patients.

What is a nurse visit?

One of our nurses gathers information about your concern and reports it to Dr. Lang, who makes the medical decisions. The nurse then delivers the solution to you. These visits suit less complex needs and cost less than a visit directly with the doctor. Which visits qualify is decided case by case.

Who will be caring for me as Dr. Howard Lang retires?

Dr. Derek Lang is caring for Dr. Howard Lang's patients, and many have already transitioned to him. Lindsay Kirkwood, FNP-C, has also joined our practice and will be able to take on additional patients as she builds her practice here.

Can I support other patients' memberships?

Yes. Our scholarship fund accepts anonymous donations that help subsidize membership for patients who need it. Patients who would like to apply can contact the front desk.
